Dr. Duane Dilworth is a board-certified dermatologist whose practice encompasses medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He has particular expertise in disorders of the hair and scalp, skin of color, hyperpigmentation, acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, prurigo nodularis, psoriasis, vitiligo, and skin cancer.
Dr. Dilworth’s contributions to dermatology extend beyond patient care. As a clinical investigator, he has participated in clinical trials evaluating emerging therapies for complex dermatologic conditions. He has also served as an invited speaker and advisory board member, offering clinical insight on a multitude of various dermatologic conditions. Through his work in research and medical education, he collaborates with physicians, researchers, and healthcare organizations to support innovation and advance standards of care within the specialty.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Dilworth attended Florida State University before earning his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center, followed by his dermatology residency at Saint Louis University.
After completing his residency, Dr. Dilworth began his career in Los Angeles in 2018, where he further developed his experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. In 2020, he returned to St. Louis as his mother, also a dermatologist, prepared to retire. Building upon the practice she had established, Dr. Dilworth founded Deluxe Dermatology and expanded its commitment to comprehensive, modern, and inclusive dermatologic care.
Dr. Dilworth approaches each patient relationship with thoughtfulness, precision, and respect for the individual. His treatment philosophy combines evidence-based medicine, advanced therapeutic options, and personalized skincare with careful consideration of each patient’s concerns, goals, skin type, and lived experience.
